There are quite a few things in the escape room, many of which are just decorations or distractions. (Or books that have real significance to QR 8…)

The escape room consists of just 3 main puzzles to solve:

1. The keyboard

As indicated by the Mary statue and the stuffed lamb, you need to play Mary had a Little Lamb on the piano starting from the key marked with the black dot.

They keyboard is a bit finnicky, and some keystrokes may not play the note. You need to be slow and methodical, ensuring that every note is played in the correct order and that you can audibly hear the note being played. If you miss a single note, you’ll need to start over.

I haven’t verified if you need to be in a specific octave or modulation of the keyboard for the song to work. Personally, I’ve gotten they keyboard to work on one visit to the room, and it wasn’t working on my next visit.

Once you correctly play the song, a little “triumph” song will play, and the box to the left of the keyboard will begin to flash. It flashes out numbers that you’ll want to write down: 4635

2. The ship wheel

The letters on the wheel and the letters on the wall behind the wheel can make a bunch of different words. You need to turn the wheel until all the words are real words. (In other configurations, some or many of the words will be real, but at least one will not be a real word).

Note: The word “Mary” counts as a real word

Once the wheel is in correct alignment, you’ll use the numbers 4635 from the piano solve and look at the numbers on the ends of the wheel. Those numbers will point to colored stripes on the wall behind it, 2 colors for each number, thus leading to a series of 8 colors:
